Toughened Glass

Tempered glass also known as Toughened Glass, is made by quickly cooling the annealed glass when it is heated near to its softening point. After tempering, uniform compression is formed over the glass surface while tensile formed inside the glass plate.

Insulating glass units

Production process:
Insulating glass is composed of two sheets of float glass. Between the two sheets
of glass is an aluminum spacer filled with desiccant. The aluminum spacer and sheets
of glass are adhered and sealed by butyl and then polysultide or silicon.

Property :
Insulating glass is a kind of glass with high efficiency insulation to sound and
heat, the heat transmission coefficient of insulation glass is 1.5~3.48 w/m2.k.
It can reduce noise by 30 db according to measurement. Dew point of insulation glass
will reach -50, -15 lower than normal glass windows.

Laminated glass is a multifunctional glazing material that can be used in a variety of applications. It is manufactured by permanently bonding two or more lites of glass with layers of polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer, under heat and pressure, to create a single construction. If broken by impact, laminated glass tends to maintain the building envelope by remaining integral in its frame. Heat strengthened glass adopt the similar process as tempered glass, but the cooling course is longer than tempered glass. So the compressive stress is not so big like tempered glass and the flatness is more perfect.
